And The Time Has Come My Friends To Say Goodbye.

I think that is a lyric in a song....?

Terri takes it out. The tweenies didn't stand a chance against BB. Two good looking, fun loving, characters like Ben and Rory of which appeal to the youngsters and the Grandmama takes it out.

I am pleased with the outcome. When it came down to Rory and Terri I would have preferred that Terri won.

Today is the first day of the rest of my life where I can now go back to some normalicy. I do feel a little like an addict coming off a habit. I'll still try to have dinner organised so I can watch the daily show but then be left feeling empty when I realise that is no longer the option. Then there is my blog which leaves an empty hole too. The people I have met in internet land that have been mainstays since my journey into Big Brotherdom started. Friday's will go back to being DVD night with take-away for tea, nibbles, coke, lollies and the latest movies to watch.

I'm glad this year's show is over. It truly felt to me like a horse with a lame leg. You don't want to put it down so you just put it out to pasture, when really you should put a bullet between the eyes which is what Ten did. Well not quite......more like they put it out to pasture and some other person will come along and own it and try to revive it somehow. We will see what happens. Deep in my heart I know one of the rival channels will pick it up and put all the peices back together again. Eventually.

In the meantime I have enjoyed the past series. I've enjoyed reading blogs and The Eye's take on reality. I've enjoyed visiting the official website reading the daily diary entry of up to the minute action in the house. I've enjoyed discussing what happened in the house with my co-workers.

The kids won't miss it. They get their mum back.

Congratulations Terri for winning Big Brother 08 and sticking it out to the end amongst the other housemates and the bullshit they put you through. Your a keeper.

I will leave this blog up for the next few days with this last entry and then I will post an entry with a link to my Whatever Bites page.

Thank you for visiting, reading and supporting my blog.
Kindest regards T.J.

Sunday Eviction Night

So it has come down to the final five:

Alice

Ben

Travis

Rory

Terri

Who could possibly go tonight in a double eviction format of previous years?

Ben and Rory appeal to the tweenie viewers so I think it could be a war of the spunks.
Alice has been dogged since the beginning of the show but has managed to stay the distance - I think the appeal is her veterinary status.
Travis is representation of an innocent child (Alice) in Big Brothers 'Alice in Wonderland'.
Terri has public support - who can toss out everyone's favourite nanna?

If I'm to pick two that may go it would probably be Alice first onto the stage after the dramas and bad light of the treadmill then possibly Ben after his run in's with Big Brother.

I did watch FNL and saw that Rory won hands down after a dreadful fubar by BB himself with the sliming of the wrong family member. Confusing for a little.
I didn't stick around to watch the tear fest after the show finished though.

Time To Go Big Brother

But we will see it again next year. A new refreshed 'cash cow' perhaps for a different network.

Once again the housemates remaining are slim picking for winning any prize money. They really have not entertained at all. Travis would be my close bet for being the most entertaining in the house. He has weathered some storms and grown/matured quite a bit from the experience.

I didn't enjoy the mid week snap eviction of two housemates. I agree with forums that it was cruel and a total stunt to get housemates into a friction fueled event but this was not delivered by the housemates. They turned on Big Brother instead.

The biggest friction seen was tonight's daily show where BB wanted to trade the treadmill again for letters to Terri from Terri's family members. I am with Rory, family is more important but in the BB house daily routine is too. This is the one thing that Alice has been able to hold on to sooo strongly. I really am surprised that BB hasn't stooped so low as to just confiscate the treadmill anyway after having the HM's choose the treadmill over letters from family.

That would have caused a stir.

I'd like to take this opportunity to say thanks to readers of this blog, for hanging in there this season. Thank you to The Eye for linking my site on his webblog - hi!

Bridgettes, Beau Eric

Just finished watching footage of Eric at the BBBA site (link page on the right) and remembered they had someone on earlier in the series when Bridgette was up one other time and I'm pretty sure it was Eric or at least it looked like Eric and it was said that he was a close friend of hers.

That's all, a close friend and somehow he has moved from being close friend to boyfriend with sex tape and she has been moved into bunny boiler category? 15 minutes of fame, anyone?

Eric if you after your 15minutes go for it.

Pammy Is In The House

Well sort of. She just pops in and out. Enough to give the boys a case of the BB Blue Tensticles. She looked very relaxed and laid back at the family dinner. Cherry looked like the president was visiting. Rory looked pretty chuffed. Alice seemed pretty gushy too. Travis - awkward.

Thats about as much as I would like to mention on that one.

I'm glad Bridgette is gone and has no chance to win the BB Series although she has won in her own world of FHM mags and the like. Dad will be proud. Nuff said.

Now who is left in the house? The possible housemates left to take out Big Brother 08 are:

Our Grandmother of the house Terri, will she make it to the end? My bet says yes.

Chick magnet Rory? The tweenies do love him. He's an under the radar kinda guy.

Token cutie Ben? He is being portrayed as the 'bad boy' at the moment. My guess is he will be gone soon.

What about Alice? Why is she still here? Is it her ockerness? This could be a winner.

Touching Travis. Me thinks his cute factor and naiveness has gotten him this far. Maybe he could take out the series over Cherry.

Smooth mover Cherry. This boy has what it takes to take out the series. Will an intruder win the show? I'm thinking no, tweenies love him but he will ultimately be portrayed in a bad light enough to sway votes.

The Mole Is Finally OVER!!

Excellent Fall Out Effect

Rima is now in the dog house.

Housemates want to forgive and forget
Bianca is out for blood or (a swift accidental kick to Rima's head)

Most realise it is just a game and this is what they signed up for but I wonder what the psychological damage will be months/years down the track when the show is over.

Big Mouth show I only watched the first half an hour of as I wasn't well and really didn't feel like dragging my tired ass through another 1/2 hour of the show. Terrence held himself well in the attack of the Albert. No points were made. End of discussion, waste of viewer time. Rebecca handled herself appallingly, put your judgements aside and see both sides. He may have hung his dick out in the shower in front of the girls but this does not mean they need to behave so disrespectfully towards him either.

Apparently they had a psychic on the show, my friend said that Terri has a little girl following her around in the house and in the camera area. Believe what you want to believe, I have had a few too many eerie experiences to put psychic ability in the 'bah-humbug' box. I'll leave it at that.

I'm overjoyed that Terrence is out of the house. He wasn't my viewing favourite, but he was entertainment.

Bridgette And Terence Go Head To Head

Late posting I know but I thought worthy of a mention was the altercation between Bridgette and Terrence. What started as a sit down discussion by Terence to Head Of House Bridgette quickly turned into an out of control debacle.

Terrence accused Bridgette of announcing during their dinner together that as long as she was being hated and acting hateful towards housemates it was obviously what the public wanted from her in the house and so she would not change this dimension of herself. (BB clip shows Bridgette actually using the word nasty and if my nastiness is what the audience want then she would not change.)

Bridgette quickly tired of the discussion and walked out of the room away from Terrence saying she was over it. Terrence followed and continued trying to discuss with her something he actually wanted to discuss in private. Bridgette retreated to the safety of the kitchen and numbers and Terrence followed saying that if she wanted to make it a public debate he was happy to discuss it in front of housemates.

I can see Terrence's point of view. He wanted a private respectful discussion. Bridgette disregarded his need and shut him down by shutting him out and not allowing him to have a say. Where I feel Terrence went wrong was when he went into the kitchen and against Bridgette's request to not continue he continued badgering her. I say badger because he lost control of the discussion when his voice became raised, he referred to off topic incidences, followed her to the diary room and used a knuckle point instead of a finger point to puncture his words for effect. He then called her out on being a dishonourable 'game player' (like any of them are acting honorably barr a few) when he himself was being dishonourable by using this type of behaviour to get his point across.

I feel Bridgette handled the situation with more maturity. She backed off. Stood up for herself when needed. Didn't get flustered. She did shout and she did resort to name calling.

Later Terrence said to one of the other housemates that he hoped he came across as 'assertive' and not 'aggressive'

assertive: confident and direct when dealing with others in a respecting fashion
aggressive: inclined to behave in an actively hostile fashio
n

I felt Terrence did assert himself quite confidently in the beginning of their discussion but once Bridgette showed no patience in dealing with him he quickly turned hostile, took offense to her behaviour and then felt a need to lash out in whatever manner needed in order to make her feel just as bad as she had made him feel. Even resorting to labelling her age as her IQ. Aggresive behaviour.

Sorry Terrence, you lost. Bridgette gained points the minute you lost control. Next time be the bigger, more mature man and walk away.
